Services
Edge Fabrication Services has gained an outstanding reputation for its fabrication quality, high levels of customer service and competitive pricing.
We carry out a vast array of general fabrication including Cattle & Sheep handling systems, Loader attachments & Brackets, Gates, Handrails and Staircases. Whilst our workshop might argue that product quality is most important, we feel customer service & satisfaction is equally our number one priority!
Although we are manufacturing predominantly products for the Agricultural sector, we have gained a reputation designing and supplying steel framed buildings for use within an industrial setting. We offer a bespoke service, which naturally includes design & fabrication. Very often, the erection and associated ground works are also undertaken in house.

General Fabrication
- Steel fabrication of individual parts, made from mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass or copper
- MIG & TIG Welding
- Finishing and dressing in readiness for finishing with powder coating or chrome plating.
- Finishing and product assembly services
Sub Contract Welding
We can provide qualified Welders on a subcontract basis to help relieve workload or to undertake specified tasks requiring increased skill. Our fabricators are also highly skilled in small diameter (less than 150mm) tube manipulation, fabrication and welding using either the TIG or MIG process. Previous Subcontract work includes Roll cages, Space Frames and Stainless Steel Exhausts/ Manifolds.
Computer-Aided Design
Edge Fabrication uses the latest in 3D Cad and other modelling software. We can take a basic idea and produce a fully working 3D model, this minimises the chance of a manufacturing tolerance error and using the program we can calculate stresses and weaknesses in any original design. Send us a basic sketch or full drawing, we can convert the part into a computer model and easily calculate manufacturing costs and any weaknesses/ problems with the initial design.
Powder Coating
Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals
Galvanising
Galvanising is one of the most widely used to methods for protecting metal from corrosion. It involves applying a thin coating of zinc to a thicker base metal, helping to shield it from the surrounding environment.
Galvanising can protect metal is a number of ways. Firstly, it creates a protective coating that shields the metal from the surrounding environment. The layer of zinc prevents water and moisture and other elements in the air from corroding the steel underneath. Should the zinc coating be scratched deep enough, the metal would become exposed and susceptible to corrosion.
Zinc Coatings can be applied to all of our products and equipment.
Steel Stock holding
We carry a large amount of steel in stock in various shapes and sizes., and therefore we can usually supply almost any length, size and shape of Mild steel, Stainless Steel, Brass or Aluminium within a few days. To ensure that we are able to keep lead times to an absolute minimum, our steel stockholder is less than 10 miles away and will deliver next day.
